1. Booking and Payments
Bookings can be made online or in person at the depot.
Cancellations or modifications to a booking must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled rental period.
We accept payments via a secure online system, in-office card payment, or bank transfer for long-term rentals. Please be advised that we do not accept cash payments.
A refundable deposit is required for all rentals, with the specific amount varying by vehicle. This deposit will be returned upon the successful and timely return of the vehicle.
We operate with no hidden fees; all charges will be outlined clearly at the time of booking.
2. Driver and Renter Requirements
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25.
All drivers must hold a full driving license for a minimum of one year.
International driving licenses are accepted, but they must be accompanied by a corresponding driving certificate.
Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement, provided they meet all the same driver requirements.
3. Vehicle Usage
A mileage limit of 50 miles per day applies to all rentals. Charges will be applied for any excessive mileage.
Vehicles cannot be taken outside of the UK.
Towing is permitted only if the vehicle is fitted with a tow bar.
Rented vehicles cannot be used for courier services.
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the vehicles. A cleaning fee will be charged if this rule is violated.
Pets are allowed in the vehicles but must be kept in a cage at all times.
Vroom Hire does not provide child seats.
4. Responsibilities and Fines
The renter is solely responsible for any and all parking fines and speeding tickets incurred during the rental period.
The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. A charge will be applied for refueling if necessary.
Late returns will incur pro-rata charges based on the standard rental rate.
A valet fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition.
The renter is responsible for the full cost of a replacement key if it is lost.
5. Insurance Policy
Customers are required to either purchase the fully comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover offered by Vroom Hire or provide proof of their own comprehensive insurance that covers the rental vehicle for the duration of the hire period.
Please note that if you use your own insurance, you are responsible for any excess fees, which may be charged to you directly by Vroom Hire in the event of damage to the vehicle.
